" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

It just keeps getting better
Matt Drudge's increasing predilection  for Chicken Little hysteria aside, I will rest my thesis, that liberals are children who shouldn't be allowed near sharp objects, on this USNEWS article by David Kaplan that Drudge is hollering about.
In search of a terrorist nuclear bomb, the federal government since 9/11 has run a far-reaching, top secret program to monitor radiation levels at over a hundred Muslim sites in the Washington, D.C., area, including mosques, homes, businesses, and warehouses, plus similar sites in at least five other cities, U.S. News has learned. In numerous cases, the monitoring required investigators to go on to the property under surveillance, although no search warrants or court orders were ever obtained, according to those with knowledge of the program. Some participants were threatened with loss of their jobs when they questioned the legality of the operation, according to these accounts.

Federal officials familiar with the program maintain that warrants are unneeded for the kind of radiation sampling the operation entails, but some legal scholars disagree.
Good.  I want liberal nincompoops to continue down these tracks.  Of course, while Kaplan will disagree, the nexus for  liberal's angst over the right of Muslims to keep dirty bombs in their basements is the Left's heavy investment in America's failure.   If George Bush succeeds in the War on Terror, Democrats lose big.  It all makes sense to them, this appeal to the vacant brain, but liberals don't elect anyone one in national elections, they have to scare, lie, and cajole real people into their camp. I'm guessing that these are represntative of the reaction this story gets in the real world.

Oh my God Harry ..
Do you believe those a-holes?
Bush has devices to sniff out nukes, and he's using them in the United States. Democrats.  They're alarmed that the gummint is using technology to sniff out the presence of nuclear bombs in Muslim neighborhoods.
Without a warrant!!!
I know.
OMFG.  Impeach!
Hey, how about those Colts?
Keep baying at the moon, girls.  Your ass is grass, ass they say in the hustings.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
Gayle Miller
Nice report.

The U.S. News is stupid enough to condemn this program, but no Democrat could be stupid enough to do the same.

Whoa Jake, I sure heard a lot of Dems criticizing yesterday.
It's not that they're stupid enough to go there, but they are stuck on stupid.

When was the last time you actually heard anything but condemnation out of their mouths?

And as for the Colts, SD sure played a good game last week. The AFC is so strong this year, it's scary.

*Two individuals, who declined to be named because the program is highly classified, spoke to U.S. News because....* There you have it in a "nut" shell.

If only the leak were counter intelligence. Oh, wait, isn't that the definition of Democrat?

Jake said, "...but no Democrat could be stupid enough to do the same." There is nothing so stupid that a lot of Democrats won't say or do.

I think that the lefties are actually filling an important function on this one. We've all heard in recent days how most presidents have engaged in domestic spying and that none of them have ever been charged with a crime, but all of them have taken a lot of flack for it. That is a good thing. I don't want any president getting the idea that he can do such things with impunity. I just wish that Americans had the same attitude about such things as taxation, gun control, etc...

How did you pick out Lewis, Indiana? That's just down the road from me. It's good to see that us hicks are making the national blogs.

Merry Christmas to all

As a kid I spent many summers on grampa's farm in Lewis. Later on we used to go to Shakamak State Park to swim.

Even a casual glance at the information shows that the operations were performed legally.

This article doesn't "reveal" a program that is violating innocent US citizen's rights.

This article provides our enemies with more logistical information about or our processes. In doing so, the author and editors have jeapordized countless lives, endangered our society, and aided the enemy.

In short, they committed treason.

Rog - where's that hangin' platform?

(And ya know, it should be "Letter Verification". 'cause it ain't a word. I'm just sayin' is all.)
