Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible.
We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

I need to get out more
Most fun I've had in a month today.  Guess what I did?

  1. Tied up Barbara Mikulski, and made her the target in a 'dunk the clown in a vat of acid' game at the church bazaar.
  2. Had  some root canals.
  3. Ate a whole pecan pie.

The answer is #2, root canals.  The dentist, guy named Charles Herbert, is the best dentist I've ever been too, and we're talking 70-80.  New guy for me.  Had a digital x-ray machine.  Snap the pic, and 1 second later it's displayed on a Dell 21" flat screen right in front of me.  Guy told jokes  too. Zero pain.  Zero.  Do I live an uninteresting life, or what?

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

The best dentist I ever went to -- solely because of his name and birthplace -- is in Ashburn, Va.

His name is Zoltan Ruznak, born in Transylvania. And no, I am NOT making that up -- you can look him up from most dental insurance sites.

(He IS pretty competent, too -- I broke all the teeth on one side of my mouth, once, after a martial arts mishap. Needed seven root canals afterwards. Felt very little pain from having all seven teeth during the work, despite being on a local anesthetic. He's a bit of a money-grubber, though -- you have to keep your eye on him, or he'll be convincing you to have more work done then you need).

I've had two kinds of dentists--those that cause extreme pain and those that are totally pain free. Unfortunately you can't easily tell in advance which you'll get.

Reminds me ... next time you go to the dentist try this. Once settled in the chair grab the guy (assuming it is) by the balls, look into his eyes, and say "now we're not going to hurt each other are we?".

Is his office behind the mall? I like my dentist but he's sort of semi-retired now.

My first dentist, back in Ohio, had formerly been a lineman in the early days of the NFL. When he decided a tooth was coming out, the tooth had nothing to say about it.

Jack -- yes ... 888 Bestgate, but the guy only does root canals. Too bad. His partener is a woman, and my wife saw her at the same time, and liked her too. Makes me want to go back for 30 more RC's.
