" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Michael Moore to Hire Terminated GM Workers

by Scott Ott

(2005-11-22) — Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore today announced he would immediately hire the 30,000 autoworkers that General Motors cuts as it closes all or part of 12 manufacturing plants.

About half of the former autoworkers will be trained to “edit news footage in ways that make people look stupid or evil,” Mr. Moore said, the rest will provide catering services.

Mr. Moore burst onto the national scene with his 1989 documentary ‘Roger & Me‘ — a wry chronicle of his failed attempts to interview GM’s then-CEO Roger Smith about a plant closing in Flint, Michigan, that put 30,000 out of work.

In the intervening years, Mr. Moore said, his work for the Democrat party, including his 2004 opus ‘Fahrenheit 9/11‘, has made him “bigger than the Beatles…bigger than GM,” he said.

“My company always has a need for employees who are cynical about capitalism and who blame ‘the man’ for their misfortunes,” said Mr. Moore. “Building on those two principles has made me quite wealthy. These 30,000 soon-to-be former autoworkers are a goldmine for my company, especially since they were canned during the Bush administration.”

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
