Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible.
We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

My friend Don Adams
I think the first time I really felt like hot stuff as an adult was one summer night when my dad gave me his Playboy Club Key.  Four of us went to the Baltimore club on Light Street   I ordered shrimp cocktails around, and a martini for me.   I never drank them, but everybody raved about the huge Playboy Club version, so I went for it. It was B-I-G.  I would later that night bang up the $19.95 Earl Scheib metallic blue paint job on my nosed and decked '56 Pontiac whilst trying to navigate the extremely tight corkscrew parking  ramp hiccup

The entertainment was some male singer, and he directed the spotlight to the table next to us.   "I'm lucky to have a good friend in the house tonight.  Give Don Adams a big hand."  My table neighbor stands to polite applause. "Don will star in his own television series this Fall,  called Get Smart.Be sure and watch, Don tells me it hilarious. " Loud applause now.  Adams was kind of short as I remember, but looked like a star, and had an engaging smile with great teeth.  He had a nice looking woman with him, and he never said a word to us even though we were almost touching elbows.  He did, however, keep glancing at my date who was better looking than his.  Ha!

I loved Get Smart.

I was not aware that Don Adams died today until reader Joyce commented:
With so much ugly politics in the news, some of us have missed the passing of Don Adams. Yes, though known for Get Smart (I adored this show) he is most beloved to me as Tennessee Tuxedo...HUGE GRIN.

Perhaps, I should create my own blog, but in the meantime, could you put a little tribute to Tennessee and Waldo? thanks, joyce
Said and done Joyce.  Another piece of my picture puzzle just got lost.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

Bravo! Thank you! You are tops in my book, Mr. Schultz. Great story, too. You are now, too sweet for words.
God Bless your happy soul, joyce

So what death do you regret the most?

The death of Playboy Clubs

or the death of Don Adams.

~

not Playboy Clubs

Prior to being Agent 86, Don was a United States Marine and served in the Pacific campaign during WW II.
