" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Our Position on Obama's Election
The person you call President Obama ... ."

'Nades

The last time I was in Canada I forgot to do a money exchange and when the taxi meter said "$20.00,"  I knew that was Canadian dollars (about 75¢ in real money, I think) and tried to get away with paying $16 American.  I didn't expect it to work, and it didn't,  but I also did not expect the anti-U.S. tirade the cabby clubbed me with either.  That night I went to a comedy club in Toronto, and fully 75% of the jokes were  anti-U.S.  WTF?  I didn't ... don't .. hate Canadians.  I don't even care about them, which is, I guess, the problem.  No respect from us Yankees?

Anyway, Canada was well on it's way to becoming a socialist state then, and is now there.  None of this could have happened without drum beating by Canadian press which is, in most respects, European in outlook.  Like this morale raising study about the (almost non-existent) Canadian Military.

And, yes, I am still serious about invading Canada as soon as I get 6 more guys.  Matter of fact, I think three more will do it.

OTTAWAYoung Canadians interested in joining the military tend to lack life goals, feel alienated and accept violence to achieve ends, says an internal army study obtained by The Canadian Press.

Some findings in the 80-page report suggest army recruiters should carefully screen the 5,000 additional soldiers they plan to hire in the next five years.

People interested in a career with the Canadian Forces tend to be "lacking in life goals and feel alienated from society and its values," says the document, co-authored by three senior officers.

"They are attracted to violence more than the average member of Canadian society and accept violence as a legitimate means of getting what they want."

Generally, those interested in joining the Forces also tend to be "somewhat timid in the face of change and preferred traditional categories of identity by race, gender, and nationality," says the survey. "As a result, they may resist affirmative action initiatives."

The observations are contained in a draft copy of the study, "Canada's Soldiers: Military Ethos and Canadian Values in the 21st Century Army."

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

That's a shit hot bunch of fighter jocks there. Note the training wheels are retracted! Wonder if they've hassled with any Harleys yet?
