" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Panini Caveat Emptor

Those of you that have been around know that when something works I won't get off it.  So it is with my Cuisinart George Foreman Panini Griddler.  Since Hucker gave it to me on Christmas, I have made like 300 meals on it.  But Rodge, you say?  What about bacon?  Yup.  I Panini it (squish cook it on both sides at once) until it is crispy ... and way flat!  Then I throw on some eggs and a tortilla, and voila!  A breakfast burrito to die for, but not from.  That's because all the grease drains from the bacon .. so much grease that each slice has 30 negative calories.  Yup ... if you ate 10 pounds of this bacon a day, you'd lose 3 pounds.

Now, for the down side of my telling you stuff.  Reader Chris K. writes:
"Rodge, I saw that grill that you got for Christmas and went right out to buy one and I was in the Best Buy parking lot when this guy Jose sees me and says, 'Senor, are you going in to buy a Cuisinart George Foreman Panini Griddler?  Because I can save you a lot of money with the Maguila Grill that does all the same stuff for just $50, marked down from $129.99.'

"It sure looked good, but when I got it home, I found out it didn't have interchangeable grill surfaces, and in order to panini I had to use my wife's iron with it.  I feel like such a fool, so maybe you can warn others that the Maguila Grill is not like yours."
Don't feel bad Chris, I paid full retail for my Maguila Grill, and burned the kitchen down with it to boot.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

I noticed that there's a bottle of wine in those shots. What are some of your favorites? Also, what goes well with a bacon & egg burrito?

Thanks!
