" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Why Now?

U.S. Had Data Hinting of Okla. Bombing - February 11. 2003

The New American Sept. 15th, 1997    When I saw that headline on Drudge today, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.  The New American magazine cover [left] is dated September 15, 1997.  A Diane Sawyer 20/20 interview of Carol Howe came on  Dec. 10, 1997.  Like so many other things that happened during the Clinton terror, this story just disappeared into the ether.  You'd think that, after a government informant told Diane Sawyer - on 20/20 - that she took her ATF handler to Oklahoma City and pointed out the Murrah Federal Building building as a bombing target --  you'd think the shit would hit the fan wouldn't you? It didn't.  Nada.

Just like Lisa Meyer's interview with Bill Clinton rape victim Juanita Broaddrick disappeared the next day, so did Howe's.  I saved a partial transcript of of the 20/20 show, and HERE it is.

During the 1997 McVeigh trial, the common wisdom on the Free Republic  boards - where I was then practicing rant - was that the truth would emerge only after Clinton left office.  One of the hot shot FR reporterettes, known as "The Prodigy Lady," sent me this report on July 4, 1997.  It's instructive.  Here's one I posted.

Things to ponder

Item: No ATF agents showed up for work on April 19, 1995 in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
Item: On April 21, 1995 FBI memo confirms that the Bureau knew of Howe's claim that Dennis Mahon had discussed targeting federal installations, including the Oklahoma City Federal Building.
Item: On December 13, 1996, the FBI turned Howe's cover against her, raiding her house, finding materials that could be used to build a bomb.
Item: On August 1, 1997, Carol Howe was acquitted of all charges.
Source: _The Secret Life of Bill Clinton_, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, Washington, D.C.: Regnery, 1997.
Item: On July 30, 1997 1997 Carol Howe makes her first - and only - appearance before McVeigh's jury.  Judge Richard Maitsch would later bar testimony about her role as an informer as "irrelevant."
Item: Didn't it seem that the government was a little too eager to put McVeigh to death - despite revelations that the FBI had withheld evidence?  Hmmmm?  Why is this old news being released now? Anybody?

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
