I disliked Joe Lieberman so much during the 2000 election, but now appreciate his lone wolf (within the demoncrats) stance to support the Troops, America and our Defense. I'm hard-pressed to think of any other democRat that I wouldn't take a piss on. What ever happend to Zell Miller? I can't remember the last time I heard him speak up (since the election).

It took Holy Joe exactly 12 seconds to disavow several principled stances he had previously taken, after accepting Gore's VP slot. In an adult, that is a character flaw, not an error in judgement. Still, Lieberman is the ONLY elected democrat I can think of who seems to have some independent thinking going on. I was thinking of having a poll .. "McCain, or Lieberman?"

Say what you like about Lieberman, yes he is a Democrat, but but he is the only one I could name that is an American first. When Zell Miller retired, he assumed leadership of a very small part of the the donk party - the sane part.

McCain or Lieberman? As our choice for prez in '08? I'd have to go with Lieberman, may the gods grant me mercy.
