" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

And a Krupnik Christmas to you
American Filth -- The Series

NEW YORK, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- New York's Bad Santa has gone on the auction block and its creators are hoping to get $500 for it to donate to charity.

The gruesome display erected by Joel Krupnik and Mildred Castellanos outside their Gramercy Park home features a knife-wielding Santa in a bloody display with more than 20 Barbie heads. Neighbors complained the display was anti-holidays.

The New York Post reports Krupnik and Castellanos have already received a $200 bid, and Krupnik said the money will be donated to the winning bidder's favorite charity -- proving the couple is not anti-Christmas. Bidding ended at 3 p.m. (EST) Sunday.

"We never meant to offend anybody or any religion," Krupnik told the Post.
Krupnik told Brian Kilmeade on Fox and Friends that he did it to protest the "commercialization of Christmas." Uh-huh.  Kilmeade's follow up was, "And, you thought the best way to do that was to traumatize children?"   If I was a guessing man, and I am, I would guess that Krupnik is a card carryng ACLU member.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
Gayle Miller
If he wasn't already one, I'm sure the ACLU has rushed him his membership card- he is exactly what they want in their ranks.
Here's what I don't get - usually people who are protesting the commercialization of Christmas are pretty religious. Secularists don't give a shit - in fact they are the ones pushing the commercialization to take the attention away from Christ's birth. Why do I get the feeling this guy isn't a Christian? Am I too cynical?

Believe me, he was not protesting the commercialization of Christmas ... he's just a MFCS from Manhattan.

I read some more about this guy and his family when the story first broke.
Apparently he *loves* horror movies and has his pre-teen daughters hooked on them. The more gory the better. He claims it was their idea to create this display and that it is their barbie doll collection that was used for the display.

Personally, I find it gross. I'm not offended by it as an attack on Christmas as it doesn't have Jesus or anything religious - just the Western symbols of Christmas - in it.

But I do think it is stupid and were he my neighbor, he'd be getting plenty of unfriendly visits from the egg-throwing hooligans that I happen to know....
