Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible.
We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Our Position on Obama's Election
The person you call President Obama ... ."

Sunday, October 16, 2005

A reasonable rant, all things considered.
Not too long ago I wrote (I think) about my feeling that it was no longer possible for us, the United States, to win a war, any war.  Certainly not when, even in victory, the leftist media is able to call it defeat.  The institutional equivalent of today's Democratic party is CBS News.  Both are whole heartedly against the ascendancy  of United States influence, and both are passionately pro our enemies, no matter who, or how despicable they are.  Here's one example out of several thousand .
CBS: Democracy Has Done Little to Improve the Lives of Iraqis Posted by Noel Sheppard on October 16, 2005 - 00:43.

Allen Pizzey did a piece on the “CBS Evening News” on Saturday about the voting in Iraq. In it, he suggested that Shiites only voted for the new constitution because their leaders told them to. And:

“Despite how well the day went, the grim reality is that the democratic process has done little to improve these people’s lives. Throughout the day, the voting, and now the counting, has been done without the benefit of electricity, because the insurgents blew up the power-lines again.”

I guess democracy in America had no value until Edison invented the light bulb.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

It's also about expectations.

These fools have grown up with such a cushy life - and the expectation that nothing about that should, would or ever chould change. They wet their khakis at the thought of a power outage caused by a T-storm.

Their concept of actual privation and the sacrifice required to achieve something worthwhile is limited. Verrry limited. Their concept of what is required to build a civilization out of a pile of primative crap is utterly alien.

So they think that if the lights are on and the lattes are hot -- that *is* civilization. The possibility of a little sister being disappeared into one of Uday's Fun Camps is so alien it doesn't even register so is not taken into account. Things usta be quiet and orderly on the surface so that must've been better.

Nevermind that people are getting electricity and clean water who have never [ever] had any, the Marsh Arabs are returning to the regrowing marshes [eco-moonbat alert] and people come up to GIs on the streets and say thank you for giving us back our town/city/country.

Whatthehell -- they're just Ignorant Little Brown People™ anyway -- sorta like Red Staters with burkas.

Boyohboy are we raising a buncha dummies... *sigh*

BTW, since when does Mother Superior get to vote in Iraqi elections?
