"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

So sorry for your loss. Dogs are such great friends and family members. joyce

Blessings, love and light to your family. I am so, so sorry.

Thanks ... I continue to be amazed at the depth of feeling one can develop for a mutt.

Twisted stomach is a new one on me. You usually expect your dog or cat to grow old and gradually deteriorate, not leave you suddenly in its prime. Rodger, I feel for you & Huck.

Words can't say enough about a dog/family relationship.

Sorry for your loss...

Rodger, if you recall our previous discussion of Airedales, I finally found a pic of mine and got it scanned in. A small tribute

Been there. That is really a bitch. I stood there in 1999 at the special hospital for dogs and watched as the family dog of 14 years succombed to the lethal shot administered by the vet. There was nothing else to do. I will never forget the sorrow of that moment as long as I live.

~

Sorry to hear that Rodger, I still cry
over the ones that died years ago.
Spent $3000,00 trying to keep my dog
alive about ten years back, didn't work. Still have a dog now though, and
always will.

My Dad is a Grandpa to doggies too, I know what a special relationship that can be. Thanks for sharing the cause; I never heard of twisted stomach before and I now see one of our dogs is susceptible. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.

Rodger,
So very sorry about your loss. I grew up with cats and never knew a dog until I met my husband's dogs. I fell head over heels and we've had several dogs over the years. My first dog died of the same thing...twisted stomach. I still feel the loss. We've adopted three drop-offs since then and they are wonderful companions.
My sympathy to you and yours.
