Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible.
We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Hey kids .. make $10,000!

A scientist who has long disagreed with the dominant view that global warming stems mainly from human activity has resigned from a panel that is completing a report for the Bush administration on temperature trends in the atmosphere.

Dominant view of who?  Yes, it's the dominant view of every leftist in the world who sees an opportunity to clamp controls on capitalism, and their media surrogates.  Dissenters in the scientific world, and they are legion, get the same exposure in the New York Times as unflattering accounts of Hillary Clinton.  Here's a money shot.
The report, the first product of President Bush's 10-year climate change research program, is likely to be closely scrutinized by climate scientists and environmental and industry groups for any sign of bias or distortion.

Here's a challenge.  You agree to match my $10,000 escrowed wager, and we'll exchange documented examples of fraudulent, unsubstantiated, and utterly ginned up reports by both sides in this very political argument.  Winner keeps all. Any takers? How about you George Soros?  That's chump change.
Thought so.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
Gayle Miller
The NYT is ignoring the Oregon Petition signed by 17,000 scientists in 2002 and sent to President Bush.

Global Warming Petition
We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.

The highest number of scientists that support global warming I have ever seen is 2500

Jake, wanna go 50-50 on the $10 grand?

I need a better understanding of your bet.

I'm willing to bet that I can provide volumes of "global warming" clap-trap, issued by so called scientists, that have been proved to be falsely presented ... and that the Global warming advocates cannot match me ... In fact, I don't think there is a single instance where the (real) scientific community has jiggered data. The point being that one side is a proven liar, the other not, so WTF?

I have been releasing copious amounts of methane in the microcosms of my home and work place for years and this year my heating bill went up not down.

Ok, Roger, I will go 50-50 on the bet.
