Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible.
We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Spoiled Brats
There was one more thought I had about Sweet's column [below].  Here are two quotes about the firestorm that ensued after Dick Durbin analogized our military with Nazis

"If it is Dick Durbin in trouble, then something is wrong. They are so good at changing the subject," said Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).

"Everyone who knows Dick Durbin knows how much he cares about the troops and their families," Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told me Friday.

Said Obama, "This administration has made a habit of diverting attention of its failures by criticizing the messenger."

For nigh on 50 years Democrats could, and did, say any damn thing they wanted without fear of rebuttal, correction, or castigation from the MSM.  As a result they have become little chillens whose momma kept them in the house under a plastic bubble.  Once they go outside, they have no natural immunity to even the most casual germ, and immediately break into night sweats.  Donkycrats simply do not have any experience in real political debating, and this is the result.

Comments:

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
Gayle Miller
Sweet also wrote "Durbin's analogy, as clumsy as it was, is not where the focus should stay. How the U.S. treats prisoners, how the U.S. is conducting the Iraq war, how the U.S. wins more allies, how the U.S. improves relations with Muslim countries -- yes, and why the U.S. has trouble providing armored plates for Jeeps in combat -- one of Durbin's crusades -- that's what is important."

Notice that this sage of strategy says nothing about the morale of the troops, the morale of the homefront, and the importance of them to winning this war on terror. Holding hands and being nice to muslims solves nothing. They will strive to kill us just the same. She says nothing about winning the war.

This is a war for survival of Western Civilization, and for damn sure there is no substitute for victory.
