Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible.
We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Giddy-up
At the tag end of an interesting look ["Nosy Democrats"] at Jay Rockefeller actually looking good - in comparison to other Senate Donk skunks-  is this observation by Prowler.
"Sen. Chuck Hagel, who has been an obvious waffler on Bolton, is seeing his 2008 Presidential aspirations skittering away. Once thought to be a solid conservative, Hagel, with his penchant for aping his buddy Sen. John McCain's antics and rebel political positions, is angering a base that consisted of strong-defense conservatives."
I sort of pride myself on knowing who the Senate jerkoffs are, actually I keep track of who the jerkoffs ain't, 'cause it's a much shorter list, so when Hagel started publicly pounding his pud last year, I was taken aback.  Is that what it was about?  Hagel being so stupid that he thought being more like John McCain would enhance his chances for the presidency (as a Republican)?  Sheesh.  No matter, I have a better chance of getting the GOP nomination than either McCain or Hagel.  Ain't this a great country?  I'm serious.  All that political power at work there, and me, with a budget of  about $100 a year, being able to know with 100% certainty that McCain and Hagel cannot possibly get the nomination?  I'm giddy.  Someone tell them for me.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."
