Tit for tat snigger snigger
Student reports Quran in campus toilet
No suspects or leads in incident at Delta College

STOCKTON -- A San Joaquin Delta College student discovered a copy of the Quran in a library toilet Wednesday evening, an incident similar to one described in a now-retracted news report that sparked Muslim protests worldwide last week. [story]

Come on, you knew that was gonna happen.  I'm just surprised that it took nearly  a week.  Anyway, this is what that reminds me of.

One of my favorite radio guys is Jim Quinn, who broadcasts from Pittsburgh [fully archived for your listening pleasure]. Last week [Thursday, I think]  he came up with an interesting craft project.  Remember "Piss Christ?" Where "artist" Andres Serrano inverted a  Crucifix, and plunked it into a vat of urine?  Liberals sniggered, and countered the ensuing outrage with, "Hey, it's art!"   Well, Jim Quinn says he's going to dunk a statue of Muhammad, or a copy of the Quran, in a vat of piss and submit it to a local art show about to happen.  He asks, rightly,  whether the people who celebrated Serrano's crudity will do the same in this instance.  We know the answer, don't we?

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

You reading my stuff?? ;-)

And, the visual of humbling the Schwantz sort of like seeing the Washington Monument crumble...

Cheers.

Sorry; I thought links would work; my post offered:

I now completely understand why Andres Serrano never did a "Piss Koran".

Just braggin'...

I snagged the link just fine ... that was my first vuist to the NYT forum since 1996.

Piss Christ was a photo of a crucifix in a jar of urine. You may have to take a photo.

that was my first vuist to the NYT forum since 1996.

I trust you had your hazmat suit cinched up tight and left yourself enough air to decompress on way out... I wear my dueling scars proudly, but the ugliness of otro side palpable. I went there to see if I was "wrong" (politically, et al). I'm now polarized "right" and find it more necessary every day.

Cheers for your efforts.
