Stuff
This is driving me nuts. I go to sleep at night whilst listening to the 40's music station on XM Radio.  Hoagy Carmichael's  song "Heart and Soul," that perennial favorite of  tyro pianists came on.  Trust me, I am no big fan of Heart and Soul, but the woman singing it had a voice that haunts me still.  Just beautiful.  I opened my eyes to see who it was (XM displays the artist's name) but it only identified "XX Band."  XX being a band leader I didn't recognize, and whose name I have now forgotten.  Just did a Google search, but no luck.  What's more maddening is that the XM remote control has a button that will "TIVO" the song for replay, and another button that will alert you every time it plays in the future.  I was nearly asleep and forgot.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

Well, XM has a toll-free number: 866-852-0404. I'd think they keep a list of what's played.

Was it a genuine 40s track? If so, possibly the Blue Barron Orchestra's recording? (I can't find out who the vocalist was, but that seems to be the version that gets collected most often... found it on 5 anthologies.)

No, I know Blue Baron ... it'll paly again and I'll tack it down ... but thanks..
