" I don't think I've ever met a Liberal whom I didn't like on a personal basis. That said, if your goal is to change minds and influence people, it's probably not a good idea to begin by asserting that virtually all elected Democrats are liars. But what the hell."

Cinema
Well I guess I got that all wrong.

I thought maybe there were other erstwhile movie goers who find that's is impossible these days to enjoy a movie without being reminded of  unpleasant political stuff.  I don't just mean the obvious, like a restaurant scene where the owner has a framed copy of "Nixon Resigns" hanging on the wall.  I mean, even that's okay, were it not for the fact that he left office more than a quarter century ago, and  "Clinton Impeached" might make more sense to the younger movie patron. Ain't never seen that though.  I guess I was the only person to drink a gallon of Dom Perignon in celebration of that event.

No, I'm talking about going to a movie to escape, and seeing Barbra Streisand, or hell, any of several hundred left-wing Hollywood Bush bashers break the spell by their mere presence on the silver screen.  Or to be insulted by dialog that defames and demeans those principles I hold dear.  Who wants to pay for that?  Anyway, the New York Times has looked into it, and to the extent there are others like me, we are a statistical anomaly.  The real reason people don't go to the movies like they used to is that they wait for the DVD to come out.  Sorry.  I was wrong.  Thanks New York Times for setting me straight.

"I did not vote for Obama but he is remarkable. In less than three weeks in office he has collected more than $150,000 in back taxes."

I posted a piece two days before the Times article that not only said the same thing, but one hell of a lot more. It's long. It's HERE if anyone is curious. Actually it is the most viewed post I've ever put up.

I don't know how else to communicate; but the Chess riff on "Expelled" a freakin' classic.

I am not worthy, and junk.
